Privacy Policy
Last updated: 13 July 2026
This policy describes how BitBySoft (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, and protects information when you use our website at https://bitbysoft.com or contact us about our services.
1. Information we collect
When you submit our contact form, we collect the information you provide directly — your name, email address, company name, and details about your project. We do not collect payment information through this website, and we do not require an account or login to use the site.
We may also collect limited technical information automatically when you visit our site — such as your IP address, browser type, and pages visited — through standard server logs. See the Cookies section below for what's actually tracked in your browser.
2. How we use your information
- •To respond to your enquiry and answer questions about our services
- •To assess your project requirements and prepare a proposal
- •To fulfil contractual obligations if you go on to engage our services
- •To comply with legal obligations
That's the extent of it — enquiry data is used to respond to you and, if the engagement proceeds, to deliver the project. We don't use it for anything beyond that.
3. Cookies & analytics
This site currently sets only necessary, functional cookies — to remember your light/dark theme preference and to remember the cookie preferences you choose in the consent banner on your first visit. No analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies are active on this site today.
The consent banner does present optional categories (analytics, preferences, marketing) so that we can turn on privacy-respecting analytics in the future without a surprise change in behaviour — but until we do, choosing to allow those categories has no effect, because nothing is currently wired up to use them. If that changes, we'll update this policy to name the specific tool before it starts collecting anything.
4. Data sharing
We do not sell your personal data, and we never will. We share it only where necessary to operate — for example, with the email provider that delivers contact-form submissions to us — under the provider's own data-handling terms. We may also disclose data where required by law.
5. Data retention
We retain contact enquiry data for as long as necessary to respond to your enquiry and for a reasonable period afterwards in case of follow-up. Client project data is retained as required by our contractual obligations and applicable legal requirements.
6. Your rights (GDPR)
If you're located in the UK or EU, data protection law (UK GDPR / EU GDPR) gives you the following rights over the personal data we hold about you:
- •Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- •Rectification — ask us to correct any personal data that's inaccurate or incomplete.
- •Erasure — ask us to delete your personal data, where we don't have a legal reason to keep it.
- •Portability — ask for the personal data you've provided us in a structured, commonly used format.
These rights aren't limited to UK/EU visitors as a matter of practice — we'll honour a request like this from anyone. To exercise any of them, email us at hello@bitbysoft.com and we'll respond within a reasonable timeframe.
7. Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data. Our website is served over HTTPS. However, no internet transmission is completely secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Material changes will be noted with an updated date at the top of this page. Continued use of our website after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
9. Contact
For questions about this policy or your personal data, contact us at hello@bitbysoft.com.
